Plan, Plant, Cultivate, Harvest, and Celebrate
|Private Instruction $9,999
March 1st - September 30th
Introduce your students to the healthful and relaxing benefits of cultivating their own garden. Students will be guided through a series of educational activities to aid in learning about the environment and how mankind interacts with it.
Each group will be led by a certified instructor and will utilize tools of the trade (trowels, shovels, rakes, etc.) to discover how their hard work can figuratively and literally bare fruit. Students will use dirt, seeds, compost, plants, and more to completely design, plant, nurture, and harvest their own gardens. The program culminates with a Harvesting Festival with friends and neighbors to celebrate the fruits of their labor, as well as setting up a stand at a local farmers market to sell and promote their produce. All proceeds will be donated to a charity chosen by the group.
Instructor will provide twenty-four (24) hours of training for students over a six (6) week period. Students will meet with the instructor for two (2) hours, twice a week. Group will be allowed to keep all of the materials (plants, trees, tools, etc.) used for this program.
